Make A Fair Offer

We have a couple of LARGE pieces of furniture that have "Make a Fair Offer" sign on it.  That means what it says.  I can't take a dollar but if it's fair and reasonable, it's yours!

The first piece is a solid blind front corner cupboard - c - 1940 in Great shape!
7' tall by 3'8" wide

The second piece is newer and even larger and also in great shape.  It is in two pieces.
(thank goodness, it makes it easier to transport).
7'8" tall by 8'3" wide

Both pieces started out at $2,800.  Neither has a makers mark.  Both came out of estates in the Selma/Smithfield area.  Both sellers are motivated to move it!

If you are interested in either of these pieces give us a call or drop on by to view them.  We're open 7 days a week!

Okay Folks…. I know TWO blogs in two days are more than I sometimes do for weeks but I just had to share the new booth with all of you.

At the very top of the third floor you’ll find the “SEEKERS” booth.  I mentioned them earlier.  They have now fully moved in.  You want it?  They’ll SEEK it!

(TWO, count them... TWO  stand up Radios!)

These new dealers spent the whole day in this muggy weather unloading, schlepping up stairs and setting up their new booth.

Peachy pink full size iron bed with center medallion $200 SWEET!

So glad to have them on board here at Reid’s Country Sampler in Selma, NC.  I think I might have to spend some of my own money on a treat or two.  Love it!  Love it!  Love it!!!!!!

Lady Head Vases

Lady Head Vases were popular in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

Both ultimate in style and grace these little beauties portrayed the desirable look women were after during this time period.

Head vases were also made as men, animals, clowns and children but it is the desirable ladies that most collectors are after.

Originally made as accessories for florists to be sold and delivered with flowers, plants and occasionally plastic flowers, these ladies are now gracing the shelves and showcases of many a collector.

($200 )
Most popular are the vases with long eyelashes and jewelry.  Little pearl earrings and necklaces, sweeten the deal for the buyer.

($195 )

Well, you may be wondering "Where'd she go?"  The blogs have dwindled to almost nothing.

Daddy's passing took a lot out of us here at Reid's. We miss him greatly.  Thank you to all of you who have come by to give us condolences.  He loved his customers.  It's very comforting to know they remember him too.

So now I'm back at work and hopefully I'll make up for lost time in the blogging department.

We have new dealers up on the third floor setting up.  Looks Country Primitive with a Victorian flair.  Yummy!  Ask for booth "SEEKERS".

Leaving us after 10 years booth "W" is retiring from the Antique business to go hug some grandchildren.  How could I ever compete with a grandchild?
