Our Fellow Antique Dealer Charles from the antique shop "The Treasury", created this wonderful one of a kind Christmas Tree out of vintage jewelry.  Spectacular!  Can't you just imagine your Grannies rhinestones sparkling away!

It's a Wonderful Life here in Selma. 
The windows are decorated.  The trees are up.  Vintage Christmas decorations are selling fast. 

 Come on out and Enter for a chance to win the 2012 CASH STOCKING.  Several stores in the Uptown area are participating in the drawing, look for the signs.  With a purchase you can also enter for a Monthly Gift Certificate to our store.

 

Mid Century tinsel or Pom Pom trees are a piece of candy coated 50's nostalgia.  Remember the rotating color wheel that made the tree glow?  
 
For a special treat how about something a little different. When was the last time you saw a GOLD tinsel tree?

And with a tree comes hundreds of vintage Christmas ornaments.  Most from the 30's and 40's but we also have earlier ornaments.  Buy one or buy a dozen.  Sweet little things.

It's the time of year where we are supposed to remember what we are thankful for.  

Thanks to all those who have cared for us throughout the years.  The mothers, the fathers, sisters and brothers.  

Thanks to the teachers and preachers.  Thanks to the men and women who protect us, the police officers the firefighters and our military. 

 Thanks to all the friends and those who have befriended us during our lifetime.  Thanks to the customers we have who crossed our threshold over the 14 years we have been here.  We are grateful for each and everyone of you.

Just in is a great 1995 Movie Prop from the movie "Empire Records" with Liv Tyler and Renee Zellwegger. Great movie, look it up!

We've all been working hard and have the paint splotches all over us to prove it.  Are you ready for a PEEK?

We're not quite done yet.  Still have lots of trimming do do.  Here's s sneak peek at our building NUMBER ONE, the Bishop's Emporium section of our shop located left to our front door.

 

 

With friends like these we can move mountains!  Lots of changes happening here at Reid's Country Sampler this month.  We're getting a face lift.  THREE face lifts to be more accurate.  The front of the shop was getting too drab and we thought a gallon of paint or two would help.  

 

Wait until you see what we've done!!

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!!!

Eh Gads!  You can plan, and plan all you like but Mother Nature will do as she pleases.  Needless to say, we had to cancel the Yard Sale due to RAIN, RAIN, RAIN!  One of the participating dealers remarked that although you may look forward to a trip to LasVegas and grieve at having to cancel, in the long run you may find you actually saved a lot of money!  True.  Could you imagine how many items would have been damaged with the down pouring or rain we got?  Oh well.  Maybe next time.  Our apologies if any of you made the trip out only to find we had canceled.  The front of the shop is open as usual 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  We still have plenty of good deals inside!  We are always happy to have you come and visit with us!

Located behind our shop in alley.  

You can park on the streets but please don't block the alley way.  We'll have plenty of 50 cent glassware, pottery, household goods, small furniture etc. Bring your pennies because we don't plan on packing it all up at the end of the sale!

Sweet little pinks and blues.  It might not be Christmas, but Angels are all year round aren't they?

 Didn't know we had this many.  Angels everywhere!

Sweet little pastels for your girls.

Don't you just love the GLAM of the mid century Head Vases?  Elegance and Classic Beauty.  To think these little beauties used to sell for 69 cents with the flowers! 

There is a great website to check out by Bonnie Wood at www.antiqueheadvases.com  If you love these little ladies check it out.  Lots of great information.

And while I've never found the guts to try a pair for myself,  I love the look of the false eyelashes on these little ladies!
 

YUMMY !
 Look what I found.  Love the color.  So bright and cheery.  I NEVER have too many quilts.  Anyone know the pattern?  Bright like a Hawaiian but also a little like a Fleur De Lis. 

I also got this Cathedral Window quilt from the same seller.  Both quilts were from her family.  I hate to see quilts like this leave the original family but at least it has gone to someone who will Love Them.

 Ahh, the pause that refreshes.  A soda or two for Dad.

 Maybe he'd like something a little stronger?  Bar ware perhaps, a shot glass, high ball glass, martini shaker!
